Training of Doctors on the Front Lines and Air Force Pilots :
Stakes and Benefits of a Partnership

The training of a war pilot as that of a front line doctor follows a progress leaning on the assimilation of theoretical notions, the overview on flight simulator or models, and finally the sponsoring of the pilot instructor or the tutelage of the senior doctor to guide the first flights or the first patient's care. The notion of "release", at the end of a supervised educative programme, illustrates an important step of the acquired training allowing the young pilot or the young physician to be autonomous. To mark out the preservation of the skill, a program of annual tests has to verify regularly the validity of the acquired qualifications.
